No, qualifying for a home loan is very difficult right now. Even those with full time jobs are having a hard time. If you don't have a solid and stable form of employment you won't qualify for a mortgage.
Do you have the down payment and closing costs saved already? In the tune of about 4,000 dollars? That is what you need first and foremost before you even begin looking.
References :
some companies... Barclays for example only charge you for the parts of payment protection that you need.

involuntary unemployment
accident and sickness
life

so if i had a life policy already i would only pay for the other parts.

maybe it will be cheaper to finance the whole thing through your bank anyway
References :
its apparent that you have a computer. Google payment protection.
Use a broker. Usually they will represent 10-20 companies.
References :
You are supposed to scan at the largest optical resolution that your smallest axis allows. I know that sounds like greek.

Ok, so the scanner I have can scan 2000 ppi x 1000 ppi, but it cant interpolate up to 4800 ppi.
First off, ignore any interpolating number. It's usually garbage. A lot like digital zoom on a camera, all hype and it's just the computer or camera guessing at the extra pixels.
So I'm left with 2000 x 1000. I'd scan at 1000 ppi since that wont interpolate either side.

Most prints are made at 300 ppi. So if you wanted to blow up that 4x6 into an 8x12 you'd want at least 600 ppi, but 1000 would be just fine. 1000 would also allow me some editing and cropping room as well.
References :
My HP photo printer recommends 200 dpi anything larger only causes the scanner to take longer to scan and sometimes longer to show in the preview.
References :
Home insurance covers lots of different things. I'm not sure about Washington regulations, so I suggest you contact a nearby home insurance agent. http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Home-Insurance.html They should be able to assist you.
